Thomas Weller is a self-accomplished photographer from Niagara Falls, Ontario. With over 18 years of experience with working behind the camera, beginning with a long-line of family members/photographers. Thanks to the support of his friends, family, and loved ones, he kept with his passion and followed the lifetime goals of becoming a recognized and respected photographer.
A transition from photographing nature and beauty on the Bruce Peninsula for ten years, to capturing and cataloging life on the Niagara Peninsula. Thomas has traveled Point-to-Point to gain inspiration for his work, in order to actuate his community. His knowledge and abilities with digital, stem from serious experience with film photography.
In 2006, Thomas started out his professional work as a freelance photographer for local media sources such as The Niagara Falls Review, The Welland Tribune, The Pelham News, and Niagara This Week. Covering sports games, community and political functions, as well as many other local events. Continuing to this date with working in the community media as photographer with SNAP Magazine for both Niagara Falls and St.Catharines editions. He also has been contributing his freelance work to the St. Catharines Standard, also covering news and sports events.
"There is always a feeling of giving back to the community, as well as receiving my own true sense of accomplishment when completing a shoot. No matter who the client is, or what the shoot consists of, I keep it as fun as it can be, and just try to be there for every moment of it all...or at least the memorable ones"
Thomas' most rewarding achievements with his photography is his business and webpage "WellerPhotography". Along with his partner and assistant Laurel, they have constructed a small home-studio, and currently service shoots both on-site as well as the option of having a location shoot in many of the photo-packages that WellerPhotography provides.
Thomas closely works with many bands and musicians from both the United States and Canada, providing his talents at all levels of the music industry. He is also staff photographer for a St.Catharines-based modeling agency, working with those who wish to get a start at modeling, with the help of promoting entertainment and lifestyle in the Niagara Region.
Versatility, friendliness, and professionalism is what Thomas provides. His eye for capturing that timeless moment holds true with any genre that he has and will continue to work with.
